Privacy

This policy explains what ALright Coaching collects when you visit this website or book coaching, why, who else sees it, how long it's kept, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

ALright Coaching is run by Kim Ju-hwan ("ALright"), an individual coach based in South Korea. He decides how your information is used and is the person responsible for protecting it (the "controller", and the privacy officer under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act).

Contact: open a ticket in the ALright Coaching Discord server and mark it "Privacy", or message ALright there directly.

This website: no cookies, no tracking

• This site sets no cookies and uses no local storage, tracking pixels, analytics, advertising or social media scripts. That's why there's no cookie banner.
• Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so visiting doesn't send your details to Google Fonts or any other third party.
• Like every website, the host (Cloudflare) briefly processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and block attacks. We don't use it to identify you.
• Links to Discord, PayPal, Liquipedia, X, Twitch and Instagram take you to those services, and their own privacy policies apply there.

If this ever changes, we'll update this page first and ask for your consent before setting any cookie that isn't strictly necessary.

What we collect when you book

• Discord username and ID, so we can open your ticket and give you access to your channel.
• BattleTag, rank, role and region, so the coaching fits your games.
• Replay codes and recordings you send, to review them.
• Your name, email and payment details, handled by PayPal when you pay. We see the payment and the name and email on it, never your card or bank details.
• A parent or guardian's name and contact, for players under 18.

We only collect what you give us for booking and coaching. We never ask for your Battle.net password or account login.

Why we use it

• To deliver the coaching you paid for: booking, sessions, reviews and follow-up questions (necessary for our agreement with you).
• To take payment and keep records that tax and accounting law require (legal obligation).
• To record a session, only when everyone on the call agrees (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To keep the server safe and act on reports under the code of conduct (legitimate interests).

We never use your information for advertising, and we never sell it or share it for advertising.

Who else sees it

Only the services that make booking work:

• Discord, where tickets, channels and sessions happen.
• PayPal, which processes payments.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this website.

We may also share information if the law requires it, for example with a court or the police. Nobody else gets it.

Where it's stored

ALright works from South Korea. Discord, PayPal and Cloudflare store data on their own servers, including in the United States and other countries. By booking, you understand your information is handled outside your own country. We only use services that apply recognised safeguards to international transfers.

How long we keep it

• Session recordings: deleted after 30 days.
• Ticket history: kept for 12 months, as a record that sessions happened, then deleted.
• Payment records: kept as long as tax law requires (in Korea, usually 5 years).

When the time is up we delete files permanently and remove messages and channels from Discord.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• show you the information we hold about you, or send you a copy;
• correct it if it's wrong;
• delete it, unless the law says we must keep it (payment records, for example);
• stop or limit using it, or withdraw a consent you gave.

Ask in a ticket. We reply within 10 days, and we won't treat you any differently for asking. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In Korea that's the Personal Information Protection Commission (privacy.go.kr, phone 182). In the EU or UK it's your national data protection authority. Californian residents have the same rights under California law; we don't sell or share personal information.

Children

Coaching isn't offered to anyone under 13, or under the minimum age to use Discord in your country. Players under 18 need a parent or guardian's permission, and the parent or guardian books and pays. If we learn we've collected information from a child without that permission, we delete it.

Keeping it safe

Your channel is private to you, ALright and, for under-18 players, your guardian. We keep recordings and notes to what coaching needs, and delete them on the schedule above. No system is perfectly secure, and if something ever goes wrong we'll tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for how we use your information, we'll also post it in the Discord server.
